Business Planning & Development

I joined PETRONAS as a fresh graduate, and I now lead the Corporate Information & Research Unit (CIRU), directing and managing research and analyses initiatives to gain insights and formulate strategies aimed at minimising possible risks to PETRONAS’ business units.

Since my first day in PETRONAS, the learning curve has been steep and the expectations have been extremely high; I’ve always had to adapt to the various challenges of the inherently dynamic investment and market environment.

To excel in such demanding environment, I constantly strive to maintain a positive mindset, work hard and persevere in the face of adversity. I am driven, passionate about what I do and can adapt to constantly-changing challenges. With certain problems, I also had to be creative and courageous in thinking for and implementing unorthodox solutions.

By embracing and overcoming these challenges, I have been able to grow quickly in knowledge, capability and seniority, thanks to a corporate culture that places no limitation on how far I can grow professionally, and generously rewards excellent performance.
