The Finance job functions in PETRONAS provide value-added services to PETRONAS Group of companies in the areas of Finance and Accounts.

The overarching aim of Finance is to be the Strategic Business Partner for the PETRONAS Group. We strive to develop competent and qualified employees with well-rounded financial knowledge, who are equipped with strong drive, integrity and leadership skills to deliver value to the PETRONAS Group. Towards this end, our structured in-house training and leadership programmes have been developed for all areas of Finance. In supporting staff progression, we also encourage mobility of employees across different areas of Finance and businesses every two to three years. Employees are strongly encouraged to obtain professional Finance/Accounting qualifications.

Treasury, Trade Finance and Corporate Finance Degree in Accounting and / or Finance or Economics Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
Insurance and Risk Management Degree in Actuarial Science

Finance & Accounts
  I’m currently working in the Finance Department at PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, the oil and gas exploration and production subsidiary of PETRONAS. I like the challenging nature of managing a portfolio of international subsidiaries, attending to their financial reporting as well as budget and financing requirements.

PETRONAS has always maintained the emphasis on staff progression. Training and development are very much part of being a PETRONAS employee and I feel the benefits despite having been here about a year. Working with high-caliber professionals in an international corporation like PETRONAS also gives me the chance to grow and develop both personally and professionally.

Based on my personal experience, hard-working individuals are valued and rewarded here. I feel positive about the prospects of my career advancement in PETRONAS.
