I am in Human Resource Management where we face the highly demanding task of ensuring that PETRONAS achieves business success through effective management of human capital. Our goal is to create a high performance culture that will achieve superior business results.
The challenge at HRM is managing people and doing our level best to make sure that our practices are recognised and benchmarked by other multinational companies. How we do this is by constantly learning, improving, and innovating our ways of doing things instead of merely following others. We gather past facts and figures to devise strategies and policies, tailored to our needs, to ensure overall process improvement that will subsequently impact the business. I take a great deal of pride in what I do as I can clearly see that what I do day-to-day directly impacts the organisation as a whole.
My job in PETRONAS so far has been thoroughly enjoyable, challenging and competitive. PETRONAS is a company that desires a high performing workforce and is serious about it. This encourages people to continuously improve themselves and raise the bar higher every time. It’s a challenge that I relish.
