Having been interested in Mechanical Engineering since a young age, I persevered to gain a sponsorship opportunity with PETRONAS, which enabled me to enroll in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and complete my Bachelor Degree. Upon graduation, PETRONAS offered me a position with PMSSB as a Marine Executive.
With my qualification as a Mechanical Engineer, I am able to pursue my passion for vessels and marine activities. I am entrusted with conducting technical and operation audits onboard (inspections) of PETRONAS Term Chartered Vessels. Not only have I developed a new interest in vessels and marine activities, the job has widened my horizons. I’m required to travel frequently to ports across the globe and the most interesting part is getting to interact with customers of varied nationalities.
The responsibilities entrusted in me to conduct the job have accelerated the development of my skills and instilled in me the critical values of professionalism and integrity. Coupled with the leadership and technical developmental programmes offered by PETRONAS, I believe I can grow as a technical professional and also towards becoming a good leader.
I believe that PETRONAS is the company for me. With the opportunities and resources made available here (technical and managerial), I know that I can grow together with this organisation and secure a successful career.
